TA Training in Bucharest 2022

Using TA professionally and Preparing for the CTA

Course Director: Dave Spenceley TSTA

Preparing to use TA professionally and for TA qualification as a psychotherapist with internationally experienced trainers. TA training can lead to TA psychotherapy qualification as a Certified Transactional Analyst - with external examinations run by the European Association for Transactional Analysis

Training can lead to qualification as a TA Psychotherapist (CTA p) or TA Counsellor (CTA c) - the counselling field in TA includes coaching, team building, leadership development, conflict resolution as well as psych-social counselling.

In 2021 there will be two groups meeting in Bucharest. Each group will have a mix of foundation and advanced members meaning that each participant can develop their competence and practice as well as developing their knowledge, understanding and application of TA theory and practice.  It is expected these groups will be filled quickly - once filled a waiting list will be opened.

Using TA philosophy and practice YTCi trainers will create a supportive atmosphere in which you can safely develop both professionally and personally. TA training is focused on professional and personal growth. The workshops include theoretical input, discussions, supervision and self experience. You will learn TA concepts and methodology and apply the theory to your professional practice. You will have opportunity for using the TA approaches within the group and for receiving supervision of your professional practice.

Preparing for qualification as a TA psychotherapist is process orientated and competency-based offering you the opportunity for personal and professional reflection. This is reflected in the course design, the course requirements and the final external examination process for qualification.

Many attend TA training without intending to take the external examinations, or without having decided to complete the training - if you are in this position you will be welcome to join the training group and to explore how the group can best meet your requirements.

Practice in Romania and CTA qualification requirements: There is often much confusion and miss-information regarding the requirements and process for applying for certification to practice under supervision in Romania and the requirements for qualification as a CTA.

YTCi has created this pdf description of all the requirements along with a description of the relationship between the various professional bodies and a description of the process of application - along with the relevant links to follow.  YTCi uses the information received from ARAT regarding requirements for recognition in Romania. Trainees are responsible for ensuring that they fulfil the current requirements by both ARAT and other professional bodies within Romania.

Requirements for certification in Romania and to become a CTA (pdf download)

Cost for 2022: €3000 when you are funded or when working outside of Romania and 5800 Ron for those self funding.

  • When you are self funding it is possible to pay by instalments if this would enable you to attend the training: 580 Ron deposit when submitting your application and 580 Ron at each of the modules until the year fee is paid in full. (10 payments in total).
  • Please note that payments are for membership - not attendance and once membership of the group is agreed the whole years fees become due - the allowance to pay by instalments is an exception to enable as many as possible to attend.
